Spartak school students have shared their opinion on the forthcoming international tournament in Sokolniki (April 17 – 22).

— I’ve participated in similar junior tournaments, but only abroad, - Sergey Parshivlyuk says. – In Moscow the competitions of such high level will be arranged for the first time. In my opinion, this is quite interesting – to play against peers from famous foreign clubs, to test yourself against their background. Furthermore, this is an opportunity to communicate with guys from other countries: to learn how they live and train at their academies. I’m looking forward for the match of the red and whites against Barcelona. As far as I know, young Catalans play the same football and according to the same scheme, as Josep Guardiola’s team.

— Please, remind an international tournament that is the most remarkable for you, when you played for Spartak school.

— In 2006, when I was seventeen, we won the most prestigious Milk Cup in Northern Ireland. Moreover, in the quarterfinal our team defeated Manchester United – 1:0, and I was lucky to shoot the decisive goal. Then in the semifinal we outplayed Chelsea – 2:0, but I didn’t participate in the match and in the final due to my injury.

— What can you tell Spartak fans on the eve of the tournament?

— I’ll ask them to go to Sokolniki and to support our 16-17-year old guys. Moreover, there will be free entrance to the stadium. The competitions are expected to be exiting: Barcelona, Sporting, Borussia, Atalanta and Sochaux – the different countries, the different football styles. In my opinion, this is the excellent idea to arrange such tournament in the year of the 90th anniversary of our club. And young Spartak club members should recompense their fans with sound performance and try to become the winners.
