International (U-17) tournament dedicated to FC Spartak Moscow 90th anniversary is finished today. The Cup goes to Spain with Barcelona, while our club came up on 6th place.

Borussia Mönchengladbach had won the final match against the team of Andrei Piatnitski scoring 4:1. Our team was not in its best form today. They lost possession mid-field several times, there were gaps in their defense and as a result they conceded tree goals made by not quite a strong rival by the end of the first half. The four subs made after the break had the game slightly up-beaten. The first and the only goal made by Spartak was shot by the Captain, Valentin Vinnichenko. The German team however restored the goal difference quite soon by the free-kick: the ball flew right into the net at the hands of Spartak goalkeeper.

Having lost to Borussia Spartak came the last in the tournament dedicated to the club’s anniversary. The Red-Whites had the Fair play award as the team with the less amount of administered cautions.

Barcelona, which was sensationally beaten by Sochaux (France) today – score 0:1, came on top; the silver went to the Sporting (Portugal) and Atalanta had the third place losing to the Portuguese team – score 1:2.
