Goals: Besedin, Tsygankov, Khysh, Orikhovsky — Sanches

During the game debut the teams played head-to-head, very carefully. Initial attempts to score a goal were undertaken by the Portuguese; however their shots were not precise, whereas the Kievers by shooting in during the middle of the half delivered a goal-scoring fairy show at the end. Artem Besedin became the author of the first goal in the tournament: he finished a protracted attack with a precise shot from the penalty area center upon receiving partner’s pass from the right side. The second goal was feast for the eyes: the long diagonal pass happened to reach directly Danila Knysh’s foot, he drew the ball to the penalty area, outplayed several guards and kicked aptly. The third goal was also spectacular – Tsygankov outplayed the goalkeeper with a long-distance shot. After the break the Kievers achieved resounding defeat thanks to Orikhovsky’s confident actions. Nevertheless the Portuguese coped to score a goal, but in other moments, when Benfica had reasonably good goal-scoring chances, Ukrainian team’s defense performed reliably – 4:1.

Therefore, by collecting 3 points and having the best difference in terms of scored and conceded goals Dynamo Kiev leads Spartak Cup tournament standings after the first match day.
